The CVRD (Cowichan Valley Regional District) launched the zero waste plan to help reduce the materials going into the landfill. This includes a 5 step program - Refuse (buy less stuff), Reduce (say no to waste), Reuse (pass it along), Recycle (save the value) and Recover (use the energy).
This Drupal site required a blog with community feedback, videos showcasing the various ways people can reduce waste and featured stories from local individuals. Having the ability to edit and update their media and information quickly and easily made the Drupal content management system a perfect fit.
